\nDvalishvili<\/a> at
\nUFC 333<\/a> on Saturday in Abu Dhabi. Cormier subsequently asked
\nYan about a potential rematch with Song
\nYadong<\/a>, who was in attendance at Etihad Arena.<\/p>\n

O\u2019Malley and his coach, Tim Welch<\/a>,
\ncriticized Cormier\u2019s question in their respective UFC 333 reaction
\nvideos on YouTube. \u201cSuga\u201d and his team believe he deserves the next
\ntitle shot because the former champion has beaten both Yan and
\nSong.<\/p>\n

Cormier recently interviewed O\u2019Malley on his YouTube channel to
\nclear the air. The UFC commentator explained that he mentioned Song
\nbecause the Chinese contender was in the arena and the production
\nteam had told him Song was about to appear on screen.<\/p>\n

\u201cPetr Yan defends his title and Song Yadong\u2019s in the arena,\u201d
\nCormier recalled. \u201cI said, \u2018Well, Song Yadong\u2019s right there.\u2019 I\u2019m
\ngonna be completely honest with you, the truck in my ear\u2019s going,
\n\u2018We\u2019re gonna show Song.\u2019 I messaged you and you immediately go,
\n\u2018Dude, I don\u2019t take it personally; there\u2019s no deal. It is what it
\nis.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n

O\u2019Malley acknowledged that he had sometimes wondered whether the
\nformer two-division champion disliked him. His perspective has
\nsince changed, however, recognizing that lengthy broadcasts can
\nlead commentators to make remarks they don\u2019t intend or that come
\nacross poorly.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere were times when I felt like, \u2018Man, does DC not really f*ck
\nwith me? Does he want to see me lose?\u2019\u201d O\u2019Malley said. \u201cThere was a
\npart of me that had that kind of feeling over the course of fights.
\nAnd then you put it into perspective – you guys are sitting there
\neight, nine, 10 hours commentating. Every single fight, every
\nsingle fight card. You\u2019re bound to say something you don\u2019t
\nnecessarily mean, or it just comes off the wrong way.\u201d<\/p>\n
