Alexander
\nVolkanovski<\/a> believes his victory over Movsar
\nEvloev<\/a> at
\nUFC 333<\/a> came down to a difficult stylistic matchup for the
\nchallenger. The champion says Evloev would fare better against
\nother featherweights.<\/p>\n

Volkanovski (29-4) stopped the previously unbeaten Evloev (20-1) by
\nsecond-round technical knockout in the main event Saturday at
\nEtihad Arena in Abu Dhabi. The Australian defended his
\nfeatherweight title, finishing Evloev with a barrage of punches at
\n4:54 of the frame.<\/p>\n

Alexander Volkanovski calls himself a nightmare matchup for
\nMovsar Evloev after their UFC 333 featherweight title fight<\/h2>\n

Volkanovski praised Evloev\u2019s performance but argued that their
\nstyles made the difference. He believes the Russian remains a
\nformidable opponent for the rest of the division despite suffering
\nhis first professional loss.<\/p>\n

\u201cI thought he still looked great, as well. Again, I’m just the
\nwrong guy,\u201d Volkanovski said of Evloev in an interview with Freak
\nMMA. \u201cI feel like even if that same Movsar \u2013 see, this is going to
\nbe hard for people to understand or believe. If that Movsar fought
\nanyone else in the division, he walks through them.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWalks through them, but I’m a different guy. I believe that was
\nthe best Movsar that there was. People probably won’t get that, but
\nI believe that. I’m just a nightmare matchup for him. Watch his
\nnext fight. It’ll be his best performance to date. Remember I said
\nthat,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n

Evloev entered the matchup with a 20-0 record and victories over
\ncontenders including Diego
\nLopes<\/a>, Lerone
\nMurphy<\/a> and Aljamain
\nSterling<\/a>. Volkanovski\u2019s striking and grappling defense helped
\nhim end the Russian\u2019s unbeaten run.<\/p>\n
