Manel
\nKape<\/a> believes he has identified weaknesses in Joshua Van<\/a>\u2019s
\ngame that could help him finish the
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> flyweight champion at UFC
\n336<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Kape (23-7) will challenge Van (18-2) for the 125-pound title on
\nJan. 30, 2027, at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. The Angolan
\ncontender enters the matchup on a four-fight finishing streak and
\nexpects to dictate the pace against the champion.<\/p>\n

Manel Kape says Joshua Van’s inexperience leaves openings he
\ncan exploit in their UFC flyweight title fight<\/h2>\n

Speaking to MMA Junkie<\/a>, Kape
\nacknowledged Van\u2019s boxing ability and durability but argued that
\nthe champion makes mistakes that previous opponents have failed to
\nexploit.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe game plan is very easy,\u201d Kape said. \u201cI know a lot of mistakes
\nhe had for the lack of experience, for not being too long in this
\nsport, and I just think that so many guys didn’t exploit that.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kape believes he can compete with Van in boxing exchanges while
\nalso preventing the champion from settling into a brawl.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can see things that can make me going for the finish early than
\nI expect,\u201d Kape said. \u201cSo, I’m definitely going to surprise him,
\nand then I can tell it’s going to be frustrating because he likes
\nto have these brawl fights.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cStarboy\u201d is confident he can control the tempo of their
\nexchanges.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe’re not going to get to that position because I’m going to
\ndictate the pace,\u201d Kape said. \u201cI’m going to dictate when we should
\ngo brawl, when we should go slow, and then when I can change the
\ntempo of the fight.\u201d<\/p>\n

Kape also warned Van against becoming overconfident after capturing
\nthe belt, claiming he has the edge in both experience and
\nskill.<\/p>\n
