\n\u201cMoney\u201d Moicano<\/a> takes responsibility for his latest loss but
\nhas some choice words for referee Dan Miragliotta.<\/p>\n

Moicano (21-8-1) faced rising
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> lightweight Tom Nolan<\/a>
\n(12-1) in the main event of
\nUFC Vegas 123<\/a> on Saturday at Meta Apex in Las Vegas.
\nMiragliotta drew criticism for standing the fighters up while
\nMoicano held a dominant grappling position, but the Brazilian has
\nno plans to appeal the result.<\/p>\n

Moicano controlled much of the opening two rounds with his
\ngrappling. However, Miragliotta ordered the fighters to their feet
\nwhile Moicano had Nolan\u2019s back in the second round. Nolan then hurt
\nMoicano late in the frame and continued his striking success in the
\nthird before securing a ground-and-pound finish at 1:28.<\/p>\n

Moicano said the stand-up surprised him because he did not remember
\nreceiving a warning to increase his activity. He acknowledged that
\nhis frustration caused him to lose focus.<\/p>\n

\u201cI was a little frustrated with the referee standing the fight up,\u201d
\nMoicano told MMA Fighting. \u201cI was a little frustrated, but
\nfrustration is a bad thing\u2026 It caught me by surprise when he said,
\n\u2018Stand up.\u2019 I don\u2019t remember him giving me any warnings\u2026 I have
\nnever heard of anyone being stood up from mount or from someone\u2019s
\nback\u2026 But I clearly lost focus, I was clearly frustrated, and I got
\ncaught with some shots afterward.\u201d<\/p>\n

Despite his anger toward Miragliotta, Moicano said he would not
\nfile an appeal with the Nevada Athletic Commission. Instead, he
\nblamed himself for failing to finish Nolan.<\/p>\n

\u201cI want him to go f*ck himself, him and everyone else,\u201d Moicano
\nadded. \u201cI don\u2019t give a sh*t. The next person I need to blame is
\nmyself. I should have finished that guy. That\u2019s the truth. I\u2019m
\nbetter than that guy, but he defended well\u2026 I\u2019m not going to blame
\nthe referee\u2026 I\u2019m not going to file any complaint.\u201d<\/p>\n

Moicano has lost three of his last four bouts. Nolan, meanwhile,
\nhas won six straight since suffering his lone professional defeat
\nin his UFC debut in 2024.<\/p>\n
