\nParnasse<\/a> in the main event of
\nUFC Paris<\/a> this past September and lost via technical knockout
\nat 2:35 of the first round. Hooker is looking to make a quick
\nturnaround and is now scheduled to fight Brian
\nOrtega<\/a> at
\nUFC Qatar<\/a> on Nov. 21. \u201cThe Hangman\u201d recently opened up about
\nwhy he\u2019s returning to action just 77 days after his last bout.<\/p>\n

Dan Hooker says frustration after his Salahdine Parnasse loss
\nprompted him to accept Brian Ortega at UFC Qatar<\/h2>\n

Hooker said he was frustrated he couldn’t show his improvements
\nafter a hard training camp for the Parnasse fight. He claims he
\nwould\u2019ve taken more time in between fights if he had gone to war
\nwith the Frenchman for five rounds. While Hooker went down with the
\nbody kick from Parnasse in the opening frame, he didn\u2019t suffer any
\nserious injuries, hence the short turnaround.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you just get out there and don’t really get to show anything,
\nthat’s frustrating,\u201d Hooker told Ariel Helwani. \u201cI put in a really
\nhard training camp, made some pretty big improvements in my
\nconsistency and training, and I just didn’t get to show it\u2026 Then I
\nsaw Nolan was matched with Moicano, so I called my manager Ash and
\nsaid, \u2018F*ck, surely I can beat Brian Ortega.\u2019 I was like, \u2018F*ck,
\nhe’s old as well. Surely, I can beat Brian Ortega.\u2019 The UFC liked
\nthat fight, so I got it.\u201d<\/p>\n

While Hooker (24-15) is on a three-fight skid, Ortega (16-5, 1 NC)
\nhas lost four of his last five bouts.<\/p>\n
