Adesanya trained at
\nCity Kickboxing<\/a> in Auckland, New Zealand, since 2010. The
\nformer
\nUltimate Fighting Championship<\/a> middleweight champion, now on a
\nfour-fight losing skid, parted ways with CKB this past May. Ahead
\nof his Octagon return, Adesanya opened up about his new team.<\/p>\n

Adesanya hasn\u2019t disclosed why he left CKB, but claims he feels
\nbetter than he has in a long time after leaving the gym and
\nbuilding his own team.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can truly say, with my departure from my old gym, CKB, and now
\nbuilding the team that I have and training specifically for me,
\nthis is the best I\u2019ve felt in a very long time, for real,\u201d Adesanya
\nsaid on his YouTube channel.<\/p>\n

Since losing the 185-pound title to Sean
\nStrickland<\/a> in 2023, Adesanya (24-6) has suffered stoppage
\nlosses to Dricus Du
\nPlessis<\/a>, Nassourdine
\nImavov<\/a> and Joe Pyfer<\/a>. He
\nis rumored to be headlining UFC
\nSaudi Arabia<\/a> against Sharabutdin
\nMagomedov<\/a> (17-1) on Dec. 5 in Riyadh, though the promotion has
\nyet to confirm the matchup.<\/p>\n
